Investing, salary, managing family finances and even big ticket purchases, these are just some of the tings most women find themselves struggling with. Most are caught between paying more for products and services, leading them to earn less compared to their male counterparts. Salaries are a good example, according to sociologist Mariko Chang, the earnings of women are currently about 78% of men's, but women only own 36% wealth compared to males. When it comes to retirement, alpha males beat the females too, with 12% of women over the age of 65 living in poverty compared to only 7% of men of the same faction. The number increases for divorced women at 21% and 15% for widows. Why such discrepancy?
